Company Overview
KSF Global is a UK-based specialist in bespoke retail displays, store fixtures, fittings and retail technology solutions.
We work with international retailers and brands, managing projects from initial client brief and concept development through technical design, prototyping, manufacturing, logistics and installation.
As we develop our relationship with a major France-based international retail client, we are seeking an experienced French-Speaking Account / Project Manager to support the account on a part-time consultancy basis.
Role Summary
The consultant will act as a key French-speaking interface between KSF Global and the client, ensuring that requirements, decisions, actions and project information are accurately communicated between the French client team and KSF's UK-based Account, Project, Design, Technical and Operations teams.
This is a client-facing role requiring considerably more than translation.
The consultant will be expected to participate confidently in client meetings, understand commercial and project requirements, challenge or clarify information where necessary, translate discussions into actionable project requirements and help drive projects through their key stages.
The successful consultant will combine strong bilingual communication skills with account management, project coordination and commercial awareness.
They will operate as an extension of the KSF team while working under an agreed consultancy arrangement and daily rate.
Scope of Consultancy
1. French Client Relationship Management
Act as a key French-speaking point of contact for the assigned client account.
Responsibilities include:
Building effective working relationships with key French client stakeholders.
Participating in client meetings, Teams calls and project reviews conducted in French.
Discussing project requirements, timelines, deliverables, amendments and outstanding actions.
Clarifying client expectations and identifying information required for KSF to progress projects.
Communicating KSF project updates clearly and professionally in French.
Supporting the KSF Account Management team with ongoing client communication.
Following up outstanding decisions, information and approvals.
Identifying emerging concerns, opportunities or additional client requirements.
Maintaining an appropriate level of responsiveness and communication with client stakeholders.
2. Client Briefings & Requirement Capture
Take and interpret client briefs relating to new projects and ongoing developments.
This will include:
Participating in initial project briefings.
Questioning and clarifying requirements where information is incomplete.
Capturing client objectives, specifications, timescales and commercial considerations.
Understanding amendments and revision requests.
Translating French-language client requirements into clear English internal briefs.
Producing concise written summaries and action points following client meetings.
Ensuring key client decisions and requirements are accurately recorded.
Where appropriate, the consultant should be capable of recognising information that requires further technical, commercial or operational clarification before commitments are made.
3. Internal Project Communication
Act as the communication bridge between the French-speaking client and KSF's UK team.
The consultant will liaise regularly with:
Account Management
Project Management
Design
Technical / Engineering
Procurement
Production
Quality
Logistics
Finance
Senior Management
Key responsibilities include:
Briefing relevant internal teams following client meetings.
Converting client conversations into clear internal actions.
Ensuring project changes reach the correct people quickly.
Clarifying questions from the KSF team with the client.
Tracking information required to progress projects.
Escalating potential risks, delays or misunderstandings.
Helping maintain alignment between client expectations and KSF deliverables.
4. Project Coordination
Support KSF's Project Management team in maintaining momentum across projects relating to the account.
This may include coordination through:
Client Brief → Concept → Design Development → Costing → Prototype → Client Approval → Production → Quality Control → Logistics → Installation / Completion
Responsibilities may include:
Maintaining project action lists.
Monitoring agreed project milestones.
Tracking client approvals.
Following up outstanding information.
Coordinating design and specification amendments.
Supporting prototype reviews.
Monitoring client-driven changes.
Identifying potential delays.
Escalating issues to the responsible KSF Project Manager or Account Manager.
Supporting regular project status reviews with the client.
The consultant is not expected to replace KSF's internal Project Managers but should provide sufficient coordination and account ownership to ensure communication with the French client remains effective.
5. Translation & Interpretation
Provide practical French-English language support associated with management of the account.
This may include:
French-to-English interpretation during meetings.
English-to-French interpretation when supporting KSF colleagues.
Translation of client emails.
Translation of project briefs.
Translation of meeting notes.
Review of French client communications.
Support with French-language presentations or proposals.
Translation or explanation of technical and commercial terminology.
The emphasis is on accurate business and project communication, rather than certified or legal translation.
6. Account Development Support
As familiarity with the account develops, the consultant should assist KSF in understanding the wider client organisation and identifying potential opportunities.
This may include:
Mapping key client stakeholders.
Understanding regional and departmental structures.
Identifying upcoming programmes or projects.
Recognising opportunities for KSF's wider product and service offering.
Feeding relevant commercial intelligence back to the KSF Account Management team.
Supporting account planning and review meetings.
Commercial ownership and formal sales responsibility will remain with KSF unless otherwise specifically agreed.
Candidate / Consultant Profile
Essential
The successful consultant should demonstrate:
Fluent or native-level French.
Fluent professional English.
Strong experience in Account Management, Project Management or Client Services.
Experience dealing directly with B2B clients.
Confidence leading or participating in client meetings.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong organisation and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple actions and priorities.
Ability to accurately interpret client requirements.
Strong commercial awareness.
Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
Experience using CRM, ERP or project-management systems.
Ability to operate independently whilst integrating effectively into an established team.
